Even when the Arkansas’ version of Obamacare Medicaid Expansion (Private Option) was passed in 2013 some Republican legislators such as Representative Charlie Collins tried to blame their support of the Private Option on the idea that resistance is futile because Obamacare is here it stay and we can’t fight it.
Even with the new Republican Congress, I hear Arkansas state legislators still saying “Obamacare is here to stay and we can’t fight it.”
Their excuse wouldn’t fly in many states!
- Twenty-two states still refuse to adopt Obamacare Medicaid Expansion.
- Only 14 state have a state run Obamacare Exchange. Some others state have already repealed their exchange, some states are considering repealing their exchange, and the state of Washington is looking to their citizens for even more money to run their exchange.
Is resistance to Obamacare really futile? Do legislators who claim this viewpoint represent your views?
